About Us
THE WEBSITE
I am a Realtor. I’ve been there. You have a great website because it will bring more clients to you and make your life easier, right? Maybe someone else told you that you need to have a website because buyers and sellers are looking for homes for sale and agents online. Still, your website seems to be floating out there in cyberspace and your potential clients don’t see it. That’s where Realtor’s SEO comes in. We make sure that the keywords residential home buyers and sellers are searching for appear in all the right places on your website so they can find you.
MY EXPERIENCE
Let me tell you a little more about myself. I began my online presence with a blog. As soon as I started blogging my real estate business got easier. I didn’t have to spend hours cold-calling or chasing potential buyers at open houses and was able to get enough clients from my website to keep me constantly busy. I posted my website on my email signature, my Coldwell Banker profile page, on my direct marketing pieces, and on my social networking sites. I wrote about real estate industry news and kept my readers informed of the constantly changing lending standards. I would also tell them when I have open houses to invite them or anyone they know who may be interested and let them know when I had closings. I encouraged them to refer their friends and relatives to multiply my exposure to potential buyers and sellers. I’ve had buyers and sellers who have hired me because they read my blog and this made our initial meeting much less intimidating for them because they felt they already knew me. Now I get about 35% of my clients from my online presence. (The largest percentage came from my network; a physical presence is still important, but my website is there when I can’t be.)
SOCIAL MEDIA
I also set up profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to keep in touch with friends, relatives, and past clients. I posted information about my listings on these pages to promote them without being seen as a “pushy salesman.” It was a great way to tell my friends about new developments in my real estate business. It was also a great opportunity to increase my income from sending referrals to agents in other parts of the country. Whenever I heard of someone outside of my specialty area who was thinking about buying or selling a home I would contact an agent in their area, refer my friend, and get 30% of the agent’s commission just by making a phone call!
THE FUTURE
The internet is changing the real estate world as we know it. MLS books are gone and print advertising is slowly fading away. As a consumer and as a Realtor I know how much people rely on the internet to get information about Realtors and houses for sale (and of course for other goods and services). It’s not enough just to have a website. Your future clients need to find your site. That’s why I am here to help you succeed.
