Local SEO

Real estate is all about location, location, location.  At least that’s how the saying goes.  Your location is very important to your internet marketing strategy.  You may get a lot of traffic to your website, but if they are not people looking to buy or sell in your neighborhood, it doesn’t do you much good.  Inspired by James Harrison’s blog post, I decided to do a local search on the area where I work, Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Google local Realtor searchI was surprised to find that out of the top 10 search results, only one is an agent.  The rest are brokerages.  The best part is that these aren’t the biggest brokerages in Upper Arlington, Ohio, but rather the smaller ones who took the time to create a profile at the Google Local Business Center.  Creating a profile is free, compared to spending quite a bit of money on cost-per-click like the large brokerages.
